The Document Products Division of Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. announces MS-2600,
a new productivity-enhancing software product for Fujifilm s widely acclaimed
M Drive, a sophisticated PC-based microfilm retrieval system. Designed for standalone
reader/printer applications, MS-2600 is compatible with Windows NT, Windows
95 and 98-based operating systems. It offers the built-in benefits of conventional
reader-printers coupled with a host of digital enhancements to deliver point-and
click convenience, access, and manipulation of computer-readable microfilm-based
images.
Ideal for financial, insurance and medical applications, the M Drive s new
MS-2600 software features include:
The M Drive s new MS-2600 software streamlines handling and image manipulation
of microfilm records, said Mike Oris, Marketing Manager, Document Products
Division, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. This unique product allows microfilm
users to optimize their document record management function by performing
routine duties such as check stacking with ease.
In the banking sector, the M Drive s MS-2600 software allows users to scan
the fronts and backs of cashed checks, and to reposition the images portrait-style
on a single screen for printing. This timesaving feature makes it easy for
record managers to provide a professional, high-quality print for distribution.
In the insurance field, the front and back of claim forms can be scanned
using the software and displayed side-by-side on the computer screen, saved,
and printed out.
The M Drive is a breakthrough technology that brings microfilm directly
into the PC workstation environment. By allowing PC users to access, share,
download, and print microfilm documents directly from the PC, the award
winning Fujifilm M Drive leads the micrographics industry into the next
century. The M Drive matches other PC-based storage systems for ease of
use, retrieval speed and archival flexibility, while adding microfilm's
low cost-per-megabyte of storage and a lifespan of more than 100 years.
The system runs under Windows 95 and 98 and is fully compatible with existing
Pentium-based PCs. As a result, the M Drive provides a true bridge for information
managers, helping them to bring micrographic images directly to the desktop.
