bringing you the finest image quality. Its Variable
Light Source allows light intensity to be increased
when scanning darker film, while the new camera platform
(which makes scanhead height adjustment even easier)
allows the user to render images based on true DPI (dots
per inch), rather than software-generated interpolations.
And with image enhancement options such as IDC (Image
Density Compensation) and APO (Advanced Processor
Options), even poorly filmed originals can be rendered
legibly on ProScan III.

ProScan III is the only modular scanner capable of
scanning all three standard film formats, rollfilm,
microfilm and aperture cards.
Rollfilm Scanning
ProScan III's RollFilm module is perfect for your
rollfilm scanning needs. It can scan up to 170 images
per minute at 200 DPI, and handles both 16mm and 35mm
film. The RollFilm module also handles irregularly gapped
images, blipped documents, duplex images and adjusts the
contrast of poorly filmed images.
Microfiche Scanning
ProScan III's MicroFiche module is also designed for
speed and stability. It is able to scan up to 2500
images per hour at 200 DPI, and can scan all types of
microfiche: COM, jacketed, paste-ups, oversized and
step-and-repeat.
Aperture Card

The ApCard module for ProScan III is every bit as
proficient as its RollFilm and MicroFiche counterparts.
With a maximum throughput of 700 cards per hour,
the ApCard module can scan all sizes of aperture card
images (from A to E). It also features an autoloader to
increase scanning speed, as well as a Hollerith code
reader to instantly identify images.
